1. Awarded Gold Bauhinia Star in the 2021 Honours List
I am extremely honoured and thankful for being awarded Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) in the 2021 Honours List. I am most grateful to be among such outstanding honour recipients from different sectors of Hong Kong. This is an honour to be shared among all fellow engineers, co-workers and stakeholders who have been working in unity to build a greener and smarter Hong Kong. I will try my very best to act as a bridge connecting the construction, engineering, innovation, accreditation and environmental sectors, the LegCo and the HKSAR Government to vouch for the best interest of Hong Kong.  
 
2. Funding projects approved in the PWSC and the FC
On 16 June, a funding project of $182 million was approved by PWSC to carry out site formation and associated infrastructural works to support the proposed columbarium development at Siu Ho Wan on Lantau Island. On 30 June, a funding allocation of $994.8 million was approved by PWSC to start study on first phase development of the New Territories North (NTN) – San Tin/Lok Ma Chau Development Node and planning and engineering study for NTN New Town and Man Kam To. The projects together with the others would be forwarded to the FC for final funding approval. 
 
On 11 June, two funding projects of $8,620 million and $2,005 million respectively for the construction of a Chinese Medicine Hospital and a Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute in Tseung Kwan O were approved in the FC. On 25 June, the FC approved $1.46 billion to upgrade the sewerage system in North District, and provide more village sewerage systems on Lamma Island and in Lantau.
 
3. Joined the launching ceremony of the full Tuen Ma Line (TML)
On 26 June, I joined the launching ceremony of the full Tuen Ma line in Sung Wong Toi Station. With 27 stations along a route length of approximately 56 kilometres, the full TML will be the longest railway line in Hong Kong. The TML has commenced its service on 27 June, will further enhance the railway network by connecting with the four existing railway lines. 
 
4. Visited three-runway system site
On 15 June, I visited the three-runway system site with some other board members of the Airport Authority Hong Kong to learn about the progress of three-runway system site. The new runway has a total length of 3,800m. The goal is to open the runway in 2022.
 
5. Raised a question regarding law enforcement for anti-epidemic measures
At the LegCo meeting on 2 June, I asked the Government questions concerning the enforcement of fixed penalty for failure to comply with the requirement under compulsory testing notice and whether it will consider amending the legislation to raise the penalties for the aforesaid offences. 6. Raised a question regarding transport facilities in New Territories North
At the LegCo meeting on 9 June, I asked the Government of the progress of the new north-south railway and the north-south road network improvement study; the feasibility of Northern Link spur line re-routed to the Lok Ma Chau Loop and connecting with the redeveloped Huanggang Port. 7. Raised a question regarding promoting products and technologies of local scientific researches
At the LegCo meeting on 16 June, I asked how the Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) assisted the industry in promoting the products and technologies of homegrown scientific research in the city and to overseas, as well as using information technology (IT) to enhance operational efficiency for opening up new opportunities in spite of the COVID-19. 8. Raised a question regarding promoting development of innovation and technology as well as re-industrialisation
At the LegCo meeting on 23 June, I asked the Government of I&T related development of San Tin/Lok Ma Chau and the Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point and whether it will commence long-term land planning in respect of I&T and re-industrialisation.
